Abilities UNlimited, Incorporated was founded in 1988 to provide professional disability related consulting services with an emphasis on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHAA).

Abilities UNlimited has worked with numerous public and private sector clients to help them better understand how the ADA & FHAA influences their facilities, services, and programs.  AUI's goal is to give our clients the tools and knowledge that is needed to integrate all people into the mainstream of corporate and community activities.

Abilities UNlimited's mission is to reduce the worldwide burden of architectural, programmatic and attitudinal barriers that affect the quality of life of people with disabilities by providing professional consulting services in the public and private sectors.

Our objective is to provide a comprehensive slate of creative solutions for those issues affecting business, government, and educational services and to do so in a timely, cost effective, and accurate manner.

  • Spring 2008
    Abilities UNlimited received the Community Development Week 2008 Economic Development award of Excellence from the City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department.
  • 06.2008
    Abilities UNlimited has completed three years of ADA consulting services with the City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department.   During this period, AUI has conducted accessibility surveys of curb ramps and pedestrian crossing routes at more than 80% of the major intersections throughout the City's 500 square miles.
  • 06.2008
    Abilities UNLimited recently finished a complete ADA assessment of Building #2 on the 23rd Ave. campus of Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Prior to initiating construction two years ago, AUI was retained by BCBS to review the architectural plans for compliance with the ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG).
  • Summer 2008
    Abilities UNlimited has been retained to provide expert consulting services by AZ Attorney General's Office on behalf of the defense in a case involving a wheelchair user and the University of Arizona in Tucson.
  • Summer 2008
    After 20 years in Phoenix and Paradise Valley, Abilities UNlimited has relocated its headquarters to Glendale, AZ.  The move will better accomodate AUI's growing staff and projections for increased business now that AUI has acquired 8(a) Certification with the Small Business Administration.  This certification qualifies AUI to provide consulting services to the federal government.
  • Winter 2008
    AUI contracted to review the architectural plans for two new buildings on the campus of the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, PA.
