 Bill Scott, President of Abilities UNlimited, Inc. a disabilities issues consulting firm located in northwest Phoenix, has been appointed as a new member of the Cultural Diversity Advisory Committee (CDAC) for the National Council on Disability (NCD).
NCD is charged with promoting policies, programs, practices, and procedures that guarantee equal opportunity for all individuals with disabilities, regardless of the nature or significance of the disability, to support the empowerment of individuals with disabilities to achieve economic self-sufficiency, independent living, inclusion and integration into all aspects of society. The role of CDAC is to provide advice and to make recommendations to NCD within the scope of the agency’s work and to do so in ways that reflects the perspectives and interests of people with disabilities from diverse cultures. |
